Starting tonight, you can completely customize the look-and-feel of your Break profile page (aka My Break) with backgrounds, text treatments, borders and much more.
Just click on the 'Customize Profile' link on your My Break profile page to get rolling.
We also have some pre-set themes if you don't feel like investing the time. But we hope you do explore the advanced customization features, because.. well because they're awesome. It's one of the more detailed and advanced profile page design wizards out there. We know the Break audience likes to express itself (oh lord, do we know that). So here's your chance to develop profile pages that reflect your personality. Yes, that includes you, Brak.
Over the next few weeks, we know they'll be some cool profile designs and we will be highlighting the very best in our forthcoming user showcase.

- Click-to-drag video window resizing (and centering): haven’t seen this anywhere else. Some of you don’t want to go full-screen, but just want to resize a bit. Now ya can J

We just launched a completely revised My Break. Check it out by clicking on the 'My Break' tab or just click on a link to anybody's profile.
The new My Break…
- Provide a radically improved profile page for Break content providers
- Allows Break content providers to organize their videos into series/playlists via custom-named folders
- Allows users to ‘subscribe’ to Break content providers in order to automatically receive new videos posted by that provider
- Allows content providers to post My Space style bulletins to subscribers
- Allows content providers more control over comments, including deleting individual comments and blocking offensive users
Click around and subscribe to some folks. It's addictive...

Yes, now you can auto play our embeds.
All you have to do is pass in an extra parameter to the flash player.
Here is a quick example:

NEW FEATURES!!! Read All About it...
One of the things we get asked the most at break.com is fr ways to let you find cool videos really easily from our vast selection. The Search is great, but what if you don't know what you're looking for? Sometimes, I just want to sit back and watch videos about cars, animations, animals or whatever I'm in the mood for. So today, we snuck in a few new things to help you explore and discover all the amazing stuff that's on break.com:
First of all, we have a new "Category Browser" under the "Explore" tab that's on all the pages. Click it, and you're presented with a list of the categories that are assigned by break.com members to each video when it's uploaded. I literally spent three hours on it today watching so many cool videos I didn't know existed until my boss (here's a picture of him and me [I'm the one on the right]) made me get back to work :(
Second, we've added a new "All Time" tab on the Most Viewed, Top Rated and Most Discussed pages, so you can see all the all-time break.com classic videos in one easy way.
Finally, there's a new Most Shared page which shows you the videos on break.com that have been shared (via Quick Share) the most.

This blog is powered by Typepad and, until recently, we couldn't embed our videos in it... until now! SixApart is now graciously allowing Break embeds on Live Journal, Typepad, Movable Type, Vox, et al.
